Jui-Fang Hsueh (薛瑞芳), who has devoted himself to ceramics for almost fifty years, science and art are not a binary choice, as both are integral parts of his life. During the first half of his life, Hsueh avidly pursued science, whereas in the second half, Hsueh developed an unwavering interest in art and began to combine science and art into captivating beauty.

The platform Tao Lin Studio may just be Jui-Fang’s way of passing down the legacy of ceramic art, and his first step to introduce the beauty of ceramics into the western world.
